Video services are available from VMS on a request basis. Projects can range from a simple recording of a test or lecture to a fully scripted, edited finished production. A normal scripted edited video will take about three working weeks to produce. Such topics as equipment development documentation, training or periodic progress reports are examples of programs produced by VMS. All video projects are recorded on Betacam SP format. To initiate a video project a meeting will be held to identify objectives and description of the intended audience. A treatment outline will be written and distributed to client. Before any production work begins the client will have a chance to review the treatment outline and modify any objectives, content and approach. Linear or Non-linear editing is available for these purposes as well as 2-D and 3-D graphics capability.
